As Vice Provost for Enrollment Management and Retention, Laurie Koehler oversees the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, the Office of Student Financial Assistance, Office of the Registrar, Graduate Enrollment Management, Office of Graduate Student Assistantships and Fellowships, Office of Summer and Special Programs, as well as international enrollment and university retention efforts. As Vice Provost, Laurie works with senior leadership, faculty, administrators, staff, and students to integrate the work of these offices to develop a more comprehensive, holistic, and strategic approach to enrollment at GW.
Before coming to GW, Laurie served as the interim dean of enrollment and dean of admissions at Bryn Mawr College. During her time at Bryn Mawr, the college saw record application numbers, and enrolled an increasingly diverse and international class. Laurie previously held leadership roles in admissions offices at Cornell University, Miami University, and the University of Virginia. She has served in various leadership capacities with professional organizations, including the Common Application, the Enrollment Planning Network, and the College Board. Laurie received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Virginia.
