Lynsay Belshe is currently the Chief Administrative and Business Officer, Office of the Provost (CABO). She serves as a key strategic advisor to the Office of the Provost. The CABO works in full collaboration with the Provost, Deans, and Provost senior-leadership team to meet the priorities and goals of the Provost. The CABO supports the Provost in identifying and achieving the priorities and goals of the Provost organization and university, acts as an advisor to Deans and senior leaders within Academic Affairs on complex matters and strategic decisions, represents the Office of the Provost on various matters across campus, and provides project management for issues of high interest to the Provost and large-scale initiatives across the university.

Before joining the Office of the Provost, she served as the Senior Advisor to the Executive Vice President and Treasurer and focused on GW’s financial, physical, human resources and information systems.

Lynsay has been involved in a variety of strategic university initiatives including the Student Experience Task Force, the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design, the George Washington Museum and the Textile Museum, the Innovation Task Force, the Office of Sustainability, and numerous organizational development efforts. In addition, Lynsay enjoys participating in volunteer opportunities such as Green Move Out and the Alternative Breaks program.

Prior to GW, Lynsay held progressive consulting roles with the North Highland Company and Accenture. She helped clients solve their most complex challenges in a variety of industries. Her specialty is in the areas of change management and process improvement.

Lynsay earned a bachelor’s degree in Leadership Studies from the University of Richmond and a master’s degree in Organizational Sciences with a concentration in Organizational Management from GW.
