Diversity Program Review Climate Survey Opens Tuesday, April 19
To the George Washington University Community:
Since I announced the formation of the Diversity Program Review Team, the team has been focused on strategizing the work ahead, finalizing advisory councils, and beginning to collect data from key university partners.
As a critical step in its fact-finding process, the team, in collaboration with the Office of Survey Research and Analysis, has created a climate survey to gather information about the current university climate related to diversity, equity, and inclusion for students, faculty, and staff. Members of the community will receive a link on Tuesday, April 19 to complete this survey online. We acknowledge the end of semester activities and time of year, and in light of this, the survey will remain open until Friday, May 20. All individual responses will be anonymous and no identifiers will be used to track respondents.
Community participation in this process is critical and will inform the recommendations and actions GW takes going forward to improve the university climate. Please take the survey before it closes. Fifteen survey participants will be randomly chosen to receive $200 on their GWorld cards (or equivalent value). We thank you for your engagement.
Following the close of the survey, data will be aggregated and analyzed, and results will be shared publicly with the GW community only for groups large enough to preclude individual identification. The results of the survey, supplemented with other information-gathering that will include focus groups, community forums, and more, will be used to inform the diversity action plan for leadership.
Thank you for your ongoing support of this important initiative. If you have any questions, please contact [email protected].
Sincerely,
Christopher Alan Bracey
