Fleet Electrification Case Study
These materials are designed to help federal managers and others learn about best practices in how to acquire and manage electric vehicles for their fleets.
U.S. Federal Government Goal: E.O. 13693 requires Federal Agencies to make 20 percent of new passenger fleet acquisitions zero-emissions vehicles (ZEVs) or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) by December 31, 2020, and 50 percent of new passenger fleet acquisitions ZEVs or PHEVs by December 31, 2025, and develop necessary supporting charging infrastructure. Additionally, federal agencies are required to achieve per mile greenhouse emission reduction goal. The only way to achieve these goal is through greater deployment of electric vehicles.
