    - Middle States Self-Study Institute attended by self-study co-chairs.
    - Selection of the Steering Committee, in consultation with the Provost.
  • Spring 2025
    - Kick-off meeting of the Steering Committee.
    - Create and launch working groups.
    - Steering Committee meets to write design.
    - Visit by Middle States liaison.
    - Initial supporting documentation gathered.
  • Summer 2025
    - Supporting documentation expanded.
  • Fall 2025
    - Steering Committee engages key stakeholders.
    - Working groups draft chapters.
    - Town hall to introduce GW community to self-study.
  • Spring 2026
    - Draft chapters reviewed by steering committee and leadership.
    - Steering Committee finalizes content of the self-study draft.
  • Summer 2026
    - Draft self-study shared with GW community. 
  • Fall 2026
    - Community discussion of self-study draft; town halls/feedback sessions.
    - Revisions made to report based on feedback; updates to data as needed.
    - Self-study draft sent to the chair of Middle States visiting team.
    - Middle States team chair visits campus.                  
    - Final self-study sent to the Middle States visiting team.
    - Evidence inventory (documentation) uploaded to Middle States portal.
  • February-March 2027
    - Target date for the Middle States visiting team on campus and for visits to additional locations.
  • Spring-Summer 2027
    - Middle States Commission meets to determine accreditation action.
