Dear Students:
I understand that the last week has been incredibly trying for many members of our community, especially for our students as we head into the end of the semester. The safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff remains our top priority, and all decisions made in recent days regarding the encampment in University Yard have been informed by that imperative.
The next period of final examinations, which begins on Saturday, May 4, is proceeding as planned. To ensure a quiet environment, all examinations taking place in Bell, Corcoran, Lisner, and Samson Halls, as well as the Media and Public Affairs building, will be relocated on campus. Some students particularly affected by recent events may wish to talk to your undergraduate or graduate deans or advisors about the challenges you are facing. These school representatives are in the best position to advise you about your options under university policy. Also, our associate provost for undergraduate affairs, Jeffrey Brand ([email protected]), is available as an additional resource regarding your pathway to academic success.
Final examination resources are available here. Other resources remain available to you if needed. If you are aware of a student in need of additional support, please submit a CARE Referral. Our Counseling and Psychological Services team is also available for same day, walk-in student appointments Monday through Friday from noon - 4 PM.
Despite this challenging moment at the end of a busy academic year, I encourage you to remain focused on your studies and finish the year strong. I wish you the best of luck on your final exams.
Sincerely,
Christopher Alan Bracey
Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs
Professor of Law
