Dear Colleagues:
Earlier today, Vice Provost and Dean of Students Colette Coleman and I emailed our students to commend them on all they have accomplished this semester and to encourage them to remain focused and finish the semester strong. We emphasized in particular the need for our students to prioritize their well-being and attend to their physical and mental health, and provided resources to assist them.
As faculty with close connections to our students, you remain an invaluable source of guidance and support, and I thank you for all you continue to do on behalf of our students’ education and well-being. As a reminder, the CARE Team allows all members of the community to submit a care referral for any student who may need additional support beyond assistance with classwork, so I ask you all to keep this valuable resource in mind. Counseling and Psychological Services staff are also available to speak with our students.
Of course, I also encourage you to look out for yourself and your colleagues during this busy time. The Human Resources website and Faculty Affairs website have resources that will help you navigate potential challenges.
Once again, thank you for your tireless efforts on behalf of our students and the university, and I wish you the best for a productive end to the semester and a restful winter break.
Sincerely,
Christopher Alan Bracey
Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs
Professor of Law
